ZACHOR Teen Intensive
ZACHOR is an ongoing series which seeks to preserve the words of WWII Holocaust survivors through dance and creating discussions on how we can apply the lessons we learn from these testimonies to our lives today. The annual, free, week-long teen program serves as an opportunity to open up that creative process. Each day, students work with members of ZACHOR’s professional company, take contemporary technique classes, and expand their improvisation and choreographic toolkits. They partake in shared readings and discussions, and then spend time in the creative process collaborating and developing choreography based on their reflections. Since the launch of this program in 2022, our students have developed work for stage and dance film, performed alongside the professional company and shared their work throughout the Boston area. Registration for the 2025 summer program will be opening shortly - check back soon!
