Rachel Linsky & Dancers
About Us:
Rachel Linsky & Dancers is a Boston-based contemporary dance company under the direction of choreographer Rachel Linsky. Rooted in historical research and cultural preservation, the company creates dance works that connect the past to present-day social issues. Guided by the belief that dance is a catalyst for new dialogue, our work sparks conversation and fosters connections across diverse communities through movement.
Our creative work consists of two branches:
Our creative work consists of two branches:
ZACHOR an ongoing series that seeks to preserve Holocaust survivor testimony through dance, making these stories accessible beyond the Jewish community. Through this work we foster dialogue across diverse groups about the significance of studying these testimonies today and understanding how we can apply survivors’ lessons to contemporary social-political issues.

We engage communities throughout Boston and New England through performances, presentations, and workshops. Each summer, as part of ZACHOR, we offer a free teen intensive program, empowering young dancers to explore their choreographic voices through storytelling and social engagement.
Our work has been presented at venues throughout Boston and New England including the New England Conservatory, Boston Center for the Arts, The Huntington Theater, Ted X Walden Pond, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston to name a few. Our dance films have been featured in national and international festivals. Our work is supported by the New England Foundation for the Arts, Massachusetts Cultural Council, The City of Boston, The Russell J. Efros Foundation, The Beker Foundation, Combined Jewish Philanthropies, The Boston Foundation, and more.
Through performance, education, and community engagement, we create spaces where dance deepens understanding, honors lineage, and empowers individuals to engage critically with history and identity.
